Hands Off! Clermont Fights Back – Saturday, April 5
Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. Clermont is fighting back!
They’re taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.
🚨 On Saturday, April 5th, we’re taking to the streets to fight back with a clear message: Hands off! 🚨
📍 Where: SR 50 at Center Lake Park 📅 When: 10 AM April 5, 2025
Center Lake Park is located on SR 50 between 8th Street & West Avenue. Public street parking is available in the Historic Downtown area. Crossing SR 50 is not advised due to heavy traffic. Bring your most creative signs, water, and sunscreen.
This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.
A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Hands Off – Part 2 – Sponsored by Lake County Indivisibles
We are calling this part 2 because we will also be going to the event at the park on 50 & 8th St. in the morning. Help put Lake County on the Save Our Democracy map!! We will start our march at 5:00pm from Clermont City Hall and march all throughout Downtown Clermont. We have permission to use a bullhorn. We would like to coordinate our signs to say Hands Off then put what you want them to keep their hand off from. Example: Hands Off Social Security or Hands Off our Postal System or Hands Off Medicaid or Hands Off our jobs or Hands Off USAID or Hands Off our Allies or Hands off our Justice System. You get the gist. Please do not bring any other type of sign except for a Hands Off sign. If you have a bull horn, please bring it. We will walk(if you can) until 7:30pm. If you can’t really walk much or not at all, we will still have a tiny little rally in the parking lot of City Hall for just a few minutes. Please bring all like-minded friends you can corral. It will be fun!! If you can, please bring extra water to give out if necessary. Parking is allowed at City Hall and 7th street public parking lot.

Great article by Banks Helfrich, We the People. We are all immigrants who made our country the envy of the world. Demonizing those who are seeking refuse in our country is anti-American.
